Back to uni means getting back into the routine... and apparently forgetting to pack lunch on day one. 😅

Thankfully, I had a couple of PROGO pouches ready to throw into my bag. They’re such an easy option for busy days when you’re always on the go.
If you’re in WA, you can find PROGO at Coles, Woolies and independent retailers.

I think I’ve found another noodle soup I’ll keep coming back for. 🍜

The crab meat and pork knuckle noodle soup was the highlight for me, and I can already see myself ordering it again.

We also tried the fresh Vietnamese rice paper rolls, broken rice with egg, grilled pork chop & pork meat cake, and the sizzling beef.

If you find yourself in Morley, Little Viet is worth adding to your list.

If you’re looking to try something a little different for lunch, Firewater Grille’s Kitchens of the World is definitely worth checking out.

Mediterranean on Wednesdays, ASEAN on Thursdays, and Indian on Fridays... there’s a reason to come back. ✨

The skin vs. the product ✨

Been loving how moisturised and glowy my skin looks with the ANUA PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 Moisturising Cream. 🤍

That mozzarella dip with the fried chicken… 🤌🏼

Tried 7grams Korean Restaurant in Vic Park and the Special Chicken Combo was definitely the highlight for me. The original, snow and spicy chilli flavours were all so good, but the cheese dip took it to another level.

Also tried the kimchi fried rice, bulgogi japchae and strawberry soju. 🍓

Would definitely come back for the chicken!

Getting a job in retail as a newcomer is not easy — but I did it within my first month in Australia. Here is what worked for me. 👇

1. Be confident about your experience from home. I tweaked my brand manager background to highlight customer service skills — and it worked.

2. Hand your resume in person and try to speak directly to the store manager. They are the ones who can actually say yes.

3. Show enthusiasm. They want to see someone with a good attitude who can hit targets and get the job done.

4. Walking in cold is awkward the first time. Do it anyway. It gets easier every single time.

5. Once you get the job — stay committed. Learn the business. Show up. That is how you keep it.

This is my casual side hustle while I finish my masters in Business Analytics at UWA.
But every step counts. 🤍

🇦🇺 Don’t come to Australia if you’re not ready to let go of these 5 things.

1️⃣ Depending on other people

Learning to enjoy your own company is one of the biggest lessons. Whether it’s studying, working, or building a life here, you need to make decisions based on what works for you, not what everyone else is doing. Stay focused on your own goals.

2️⃣ Your ego

Many of us come here after having good careers, qualifications, and experience. But moving countries often means starting over. Be willing to take a few steps back before you move forward. The opportunities will come, but patience is key.

3️⃣ Sacrificing your health for money

Yes, Australia offers great earning opportunities, but don’t let that come at the expense of your wellbeing. Eat well, rest well, and look after yourself. Saving money is important, but so is enjoying the life you’re working hard to build.

4️⃣ Negative people

The people around you can shape your entire experience. Surround yourself with those who encourage you, support your growth, and genuinely want to see you do well.

5️⃣ A closed mindset

Be open to new opportunities, experiences, and connections. Some of the best things that have happened to me in Perth came from simply being willing to put myself out there. Most people I’ve met have been incredibly kind and welcoming.

Moving abroad changes you in ways you never expect. These are just a few lessons I’ve learned along the way 🤍

Tried the Japanese soufflé pancakes at The Boba Bar in Fremantle Markets and now | get the hype.
The Biscoff soufflé pancake was easily my favourite. Soft, fluffy and so good. 🍓🩷 🥞
