Another incredible discovery in Broken Hill! 🎨❤️

Today we visited The Big Picture, the enormous work by artist Peter “Ando” Anderson.

At an amazing 12 metres high and 100 metres long, this incredible painting captures the beauty of the Australian outback and its landmarks on a truly massive scale.

You really have to stand in front of it to appreciate just how spectacular it is!

Broken Hill continues to surprise us. ❤️

Imagine living hundreds of kilometres from a doctor and needing urgent medical help. ❤️✈️

Today at the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Broken Hill, we stepped back in time and listened to a recreation of a woman calling the Flying Doctors for help.

No mobile phones, no hospital around the corner. For families living in remote Australia, that radio connection to the Flying Doctors could be their lifeline.

It really makes you appreciate just how important this incredible service has been to the Australian outback. ❤️

Today in Broken Hill we had the opportunity to learn more about the incredible Royal Flying Doctor Service. ✈️❤️

For people living and working in remote Australia, this service can literally be a lifeline, bringing medical care across enormous distances when help may otherwise be hours away.

A special thank you to Skye Chan McBeth for giving us such a wonderful introduction and helping us understand just how important the Flying Doctors are to outback communities.

Another very special experience from our unexpected Broken Hill adventure. ❤️

Keeping it fresh and simple with tomatoes and lettuce, dressed the Italian way with olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.

You don’t need a big kitchen to make something delicious! 😂🚐

Frank took charge of the Weber and cooked up some delicious lamb chops while I made the salad.

Good food, good company and caravan life. What more do we need? 😂🥩🥗

We’ve arrived at the famous Broken Hill pub featured in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert! 🌈🎬🥂

Drinks in hand and now we’re waiting for the show to begin. Mundi Mundi may not have happened for us, but who cares? We’re making our own Mundi Mundi and having an absolute ball! 😂❤️🎶

Today we explored another piece of Broken Hill history at the Keenan Lookout and Miners Memorial. ❤️

Amazing views across Broken Hill, fascinating mining history and, of course, I couldn’t resist the giant red bench! 😂

Our unexpected Broken Hill adventure just keeps giving us new places to discover and memories to take home.
