Waste To Art Wollondilly Exhibition 2025 winners announced
The Wollondilly Waste to Art Prize is the STA Region’s premier Waste to Art competition with a deep commitment to reducing the waste going to landfill by inviting Artists to make art from waste materials.
This year’s winners were announced by Clr Suzy Brandstater in Picton at the Wollondilly Shire Hall.
Local artist, Els Dirickx took out top honours with her work ‘Running Stream’ The judges were impressed at the elevated level of work and how the artist incorporated the use of waste materials into a highly resolved work of art.
Congratulations to the winners;
�Els Dirickx, Running Stream (18+) 1st Prize $1000.
Freya Jobbins, Melameanee winner Wollondilly Community Prize $500.
Holly Davies, Plethora of plastic Couture winner (18+) 2nd Prize $400.
Belinda Taylor, Reclaimed Warrior: Mandalorian Samurai (18+) 3rd Prize $300.
Manon Neilson, Steam Punk Youth ( 12-17 years) Prize $100.
Kayathri Baranowski, A Dragons Fruit Youth (12-17 years). Prize $100.
Chloe Smith, Untitled Youth ( 7-11 years) Prize $100.
Tobias Taylor, The Mothering Owl Youth ( 7-11 years) Prize $100.
The Wollondilly Waste to Art Prize Exhibition 2025 is open until Saturday 19 July. The Wollondilly Shire Hall has over 100 works on display made from rubbish complimented by a program of workshops and events delivered by council in partnership with STA.
Visitors to the exhibition can vote in the People’s Choice Award.
