1920/1994 Matt Cahill is an Australian singer/songwriter & composer.

As a graduate of the Ryzard Pusz School of Percussion he has been actively involved with bands since the early eighties, although most notably in his 13 year tenure as 'Vocalist/Guitarist' with the multi award winning Australian band 'The Violets'. Disillusioned with the traditional 'band' format, he eventually formed EVOLETAH, not so much as a band but as a 'musical project' to record songs writt

en for The Violets that had never been recorded. Having 'Cherry Picked' members, this resulted in the projects initial offering 'Fool's Errand'. Since then, he has handpicked collaborators to make albums with in not a dissimilar way to that of Jason Swinscoe, ​producer of 'The Cinematic Orchestra'.
​Among other projects, avant-electro duo 'The Quiet Room' & pop outfit 'Late Night Trade' Cahill is also the creative director of the 'Paper Rock Scissors' record label. Having been recording & playing live with 'EVOLETAH' since 2005, the collaborative project recently enjoyed global recognition with the critically acclaimed fourth album, 'We ache for the Moon' & was then followed up in 2021 with fifth studio album, 'Run with the Hunted'. Currently, Cahill has resumed his position in the band as the former lead vocalist of The Violets, as all original members reunited for the first time in 20 years. Having spent a very productive few weeks in the studio, the band is now embarking on the release of their brand new album,
​ 'Smoke, Mirrors & other half-truths' due for release in March 2022.​

The biggest event on the Three D Calendar - The Top 93+7 Countdown is soon to be upon us.

Counting down the 93+7 most played new releases of 2025, this all-day broadcast celebrates the music that mattered most on Three D Radio – championed, programmed and loved by our community of volunteers and listeners.

The countdown kicks off at 8:00am (ACST) on Saturday 31 January 2026, building momentum across the day to the reveal of the number one track sometime after 7:00pm.

Well-established local acts Sons of Zoku, friends of the station, took out the number one spot in 2025, following The Empty Threats, who claimed the top position the year before – reflecting the strength and consistency of South Australia’s independent music output.

There are many countdowns out there – but this is ours.
