Desert Wave Records are proud to be part of the Town of Port Hedland’s 80th Anniversary of the 1946 Pilbara Strike.

The commemorative walk will begin at Desert Wave Records Studio, 88 Anderson Street, Port Hedland.

Featuring live performances at Port Hedland Community Centre from Desert Wave artists:

Mr. Widdy: 5:55pm
Until Closing Time: 7:15pm
Yurti Band: 7:45pm

Our School Holiday Program kicks off next week 🎶

Join us at Desert Wave Records Studio in Port Hedland for a series of hands-on workshops designed to inspire creativity and build real studio skills.

📅 Monday 13 April
Artist Studio Workshop
Artists of Desert Wave Records will be introduced to the new recording studio & equipment
12pm–5pm

📅 Tuesday 14 & Wednesday 15 April
Youth Workshops
Port Hedland youth will be taught songwriting, studio basics & equipment usage
10am–3pm

Lunch provided each day.

Last week Family Shoveller Band brought music and a whole lot of energy into the Desert Wave Records studio in Port Hedland 🐪

A great afternoon watching young people step up, sing loudly and make noise with the band! 🎤🎸

Not only are the boys up for Indigenous Act of the Year, but Jordan Wright has been recognised for Bassist of the Year and for Drummer/Percussionist of the Year.

The Desert Wave family could not be prouder. This is Bidyadanga talent, Kimberly stories and family legacy shining on a state stage.
