When Matt Reid opened Phat P**c Pie Shop in Wauchope, he knew the cheeky name would turn heads, but he didn’t expect it to spark a viral wave of laughter, conversation, and loyal pie fans. With a background in burgers and a knack for bold ideas, Matt has built more than just a pie shop; he’s created a local hotspot where smoky brisket meets Aussie humour, and good karma comes baked in a buttery crust.

Meet Libby and Trisha, the new owners of Port Macquarie’s much-loved Social Grounds café. After years working in Brisbane’s fast-paced corporate world, the dynamic duo swapped suits for aprons and boardrooms for beachside brews, bringing with them a wealth of experience in customer service and a shared dream that started as a joke over coffee.

Shoot Football

Football has been part of Shoot Football’s Tony Judge’s life since childhood. ‘Growing up in regional NSW, I was lucky to have opportunities through the game that shaped who I am. I also saw how rare access to quality coaching can be outside metro areas and that’s what inspired the creation of SHOOT Football. We’re not just about developing better footballers; we’re focused on building confident, resilient young people with strong values, leadership skills, and a love for being part of a team.’

Our Story

Focus monthly is the smart choice with 21,000 printed glossy copies, strategically distributed, impeccably designed and available online via our website, issuu and on Facebook. Founded on the desire to produce beautiful graphic design, and platform to tell positive stories of our region - FOCUS publications have been gracing coffee tables since late 2005.

When it came to creating a space for local businesses to advertise in print, the focus product filled a niche in the free & gloss market. Somewhere between a newspaper and a retail magazine you would find in newsagents, focus found their space.

Less clutter, more words, and always beautiful photography.

For founders Jay and Louise Beaumont, contributing positively to the community has always been at the forefront of their business mission. By being actively involved in charity events, community events and festivals, business networks and their own hobbies with videography and sports.
