Sad to hear about the passing of Tony Todd. 20 years ago, I was lucky enough to meet him when I was a local journalist covering Con Comic in San Diego. He was so kind and generous with his time. You could tell he was a genuinely warm person; the exact opposite of his scary onscreen characters. Dustin Niño took this picture of me and my wife, in addition to some great video footage that day... I hope we can find that video. I'm six feet, so it gives you an idea of how large he is. My hand was like a child's hand compared to his when I shook it. Dustin was filming Tony Todd and asked him to say his iconic line from "The Rock." He pointed directly into the camcorder and said angrily, "I don't like soft ass s**t!!" Right after we got the footage, he smiled and said, "You know, I do like soft stuff. I like jazz, Mozart, a lot of soft stuff." We all burst into hysterical laughter! It was a great little moment. Farewell to another legend. Thanks for all the great cinematic moments. RIP 🙏
