HAZARAGI LANGUAGE: Change the Story is a family violence prevention initiative as part of the Safer and Stronger Communities Pilot, funded by the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
As part of the Safer and Stronger Communities Pilot, South East Community Links together with our Afghan and Indian co-design team members have developed a select range of multi-lingual resources for Dari, Hazaragi, Hindi, Punjabi and Tamil speaking community members.
We are excited and proud to share with you a culturally adapted version of the original Vic Health and Our Watch CHANGE THE STORY. These adapted versions provide insights into how gender inequality is experienced by some Afghan and Indian community members. The voices you hear are those of our co-design community members speaking in their language; Dari, Hazaragi, Hindi, Punjabi and Tamil. The is a family violence prevention resource that has been created by the community for the community. Please share these multi-lingual resources (links) far & wide with your networks, community groups and others so that more people are aware of the importance of gender equality and the little steps they can take towards creating greater gender equality in their homes, lives and communities.
