Blake ‘Blakesby’ Canham-Bennett is a multi-award winning hatter based in Adelaide, and one of the few in Australia reviving the traditional artform of men’s hat making.

While there are a number of milliners in Adelaide, Blake Canham-Bennett is the only hatter. A singular figure, working solo, seeking to turn heads with his bold take on headwear.

After Gill Hicks was rescued from the wreckage of a tube train following London's 7/7 terrorist attacks in 2005, she was so severely injured her hospital identification wristband read, "One unknown — estimated female".

"Becoming Gill again has been a really interesting quest over 20 years," she tells 891ABC Radio Adelaide's Jo Laverty after arriving back in London from Adelaide for commemorations marking the 20th anniversary of that devastating day.

Adelaide's Gill Hicks was the last survivor when 4 bombs went off in a co-ordinated attack across London twenty years ago, losing both of her legs. She returned to the city to be with her rescuers.

Mother-son duo first to travel entire 2,500km of Murray River ❤️👏

Anja Wever and Cy Wever-Jetis are the first mother-son duo to travel the entire River Murray, according to the Inland Rivers National Marathon Register.

The pair crossed three states in 127 days and hiked and paddled more than 2,500 kilometres.

"Get yourself out of your comfort zone with your children because they will find a new side of themselves, and you will too," Anja Wever said.
