What I learned from Alice is that even if you're not where you want to be, you should still give your best where you are.

Alice is a Karen teacher from the Andaman Islands, known for her deep commitment to her community and her passion for education. Talking to her reminded me that no matter where I am in life, it's important to always do my best. Interestingly, that's also the motto from my high school: "Our Best Always."

I’m truly honoured to have had the opportunity to interview two remarkable individuals, Meg and Jennie, on the Poekoothay podcast. Their insights, experience, and deep commitment to education and community were both inspiring and thought-provoking. Despite all they have achieved, they remain humble, genuine, and generous in sharing their knowledge. I learnt so much from our conversation and was deeply moved by their passion, resilience, and leadership. It was a privilege to hear their stories and perspectives. Thank you, Meg and Jennie, for your time, wisdom, and heartfelt contributions.

Tee Saw Jackson, from the Karen community in Andaman, India, is the owner of the successful scuba diving business Ocean Tribe Scuba. We had the pleasure of sitting down with him for a meaningful conversation. There’s so much to learn from his journey, and we’re proud of the way he’s bringing attention to the Karen people through his work and accomplishments.

Tee Mark’s journey is truly inspiring. Moving from Karen Land to Australia, building a career at Toyota, and giving back through community work. There’s so much we can learn from his determination and dedication.
