This weekend is gay footy Christmas! The AFLW Pride Round is happening this weekend. This week we hosted a one hour special dedicated to the Pride Round. The Chicks caught up with Noah Gemmell from Bulldog Pride, Gab Pound from Carlton Football Club and Nell Morris-Dalton from Collingwood Football Club about what the AFLW Pride Round means to them, the stories behind the Pride Guernseys and what is happening on the ground during the day.

At the media launch, Tanya Hosch (Social Inclusion Manager at the AFL) was asked if there would ever be a men’s Pride Round. She said “she wouldn’t rule it out”. Watch this space.

Sam Mostyn is being sworn in at Governor General today. We interviewed her on Chicks Talking Footy - JOY 94.9 at the Pride Game between Sydney Swans and Saint St Kilda Football Club in 2017 when she was on the board of the Swans. The Chicks are coming off the bench for an JOY Radiothon show tonight on JOY 94.9 at 8pm-9pm. We’ll be talking to Brooke Lochland from Sydney Swans about the new AFLW fixture, marching in Mardi Gra and booting lots of goals especially during the Pride Games.

The Chicks Talking Footy team will be hosting the broadcast for the Pride Game between and at Victoria Park SUNDAY 1pm-3pm in the lead up to the game. Tune in to for all the action.

We will be chatting to the mayor of Collingwood player and Richmond player have some trivia fun with and and crossing live to the Kinetic Pride Bus as it makes its way from to the ground.
