The last week or so in Victorian politics has really shown us all that farmers don’t matter, tax payers don’t matter, small businesses don’t matter, that the government doesn’t think that Victoria police can have one of their own run it, that kids running amok doesn’t really matter, that mental health doesn’t matter, that cost of living doesn’t matter, that getting pi**ed on the tax payers dime doesn’t matter, that democracy doesn’t really matter, that any kind of financial responsibility doesn’t matter, that education of children doesn’t really matter…

What matters are corporate events! What matters are political lunches! What matters is destroying political parties for the sake of self centred gain! What matters are red carpets! What matters are social media likes! What matters is getting yourself on the tele! What matters is how many bu****it events you can go to! What matters is having a great time on the corporate card or the tax payers dime when people are struggling to put food on the table and afford the basic necessities in life.

The liberal party are a joke, state and federally. The division of the party and the rorting of the political system is bu****it and reeks of a group of people completely out of touch with reality. A political party hell bent on destroying itself and with it any chance of democracy in the once great state of Victoria!

The same can be said for the Labor party who could barely give our farmers any kind of attention when a great portion of them are facing financial ruin. Yes they got the tax put on hold but when has a government just shelved a tax? As Victorians suffer the Victorian chamber of commerce and industry held their annual ball to celebrate all their achievements. Cool! Hope they had a nice time while countless businesses go under and people quite literally suffer from
Mental health issues because of the stress.

How dare they! How dare all of these pathetic useless pricks! How dare some of them hold public office and behave worse than my daughter’s grade five class! How dare politicians and corporates dictate to us about how to live our lives and what we should and shouldn’t be spending our money on! How dare they party the night away when families are deciding how to pay the bills on their small businesses?!

How does go to hell sound?!

The contempt these media, corporate and government wankers have for us is nothing short of disgusting…and you know what I couldn’t give two sh*ts if I ever have $2 to my name because at least I look at myself in the mirror and say I did it the best way I could’ve and had nothing to do with utter crap we are being dealt and the people dealing it!

Issue 23 of Hoodies drops June 20th and it’s all about our farmers!

Hoodies 22 has so far been a great success! Thank you to everyone that has read it, downloaded it and shared it! It sounds corny, but some of the things outside of mainstream media and the norms of publishing do make a difference and I genuinely feel that Hoodies is one of those things. We do indeed have a way to go, but with nearly two years of publications under our belt we are more than ever on the right track.

With any kind of voice comes the responsibility to use that voice the right way, for the betterment of society as a whole, so with that in mind the next issue of Hoodies is going to be dedicated to our farmers. The men and women who are the life blood of this country and who now need our help to survive. With the Victorian government imposing yet more financial burdens on the struggling sector and with supermarkets about to go into a price war, farmers who are already dealing with drought are now in need of our help.

So with that in mind I need your help to connect me to as many farmers, companies organisations and people who work in and or support agriculture in this country. I know someone like Robert Fraser will be onboard but if you know of anyone that would be willing to be involved in putting this next issue together please email me at [email protected] or direct message me on here.

At the height of the COVID crisis Ronnie Di Stasio reminded me that we needed to look after our farmers and we sort of did, but now more than ever they need our help and it’s time we took up the call.

As ever please keep sharing Hoodies magazine and Issue 23 will be out in June in which we will be talking all things farming!

Over the course of my Hoodies journey I have written about and talked to some truly remarkable people. People who basically put their own lives on hold to help and support other people.

One such person is The Male Hug CEO and founder Tony Rabah.

I met Tony during the Covid crisis and since then we have kept in touch about what each of us was doing. We would meet for coffee to work out how best we can work together to support not only what we were both doing but really what we could do to make men’s mental health a priority.

I can’t begin to say how proud I am to now be a Buddy with the Male Hug and to have Tony and the Male Hug as supporters of Hoodies and of Staff Finder.

Hoodies enters a new era in Issue 22 as we fill the gap in the Australian media/magazine market as our home grown version of; Vanity Fair, GQ, Monocle, The Face and AirMail all rolled into one.

We are authentic and offering accountability across a range of topics but also offering hope and inspiration in a world that is changing before our eyes.

Mental health for men and women is an ever increasing issue and with people like Tony and organisations like the Male Hug people have somewhere to turn to when they feel the world is against them.

On June 20th The Male Hug hosts its annual lunch at the MCG called ‘Kick a goal for mental health’ where people can come together to raise money and awareness for this fantastic charity.

To book please use the QR code on the ad or head to the Male Hug website and let’s help the Male Hug support men’s mental health.

I’m Hello to all from Hoodies HQ!

As we do all indeed wait for budget night to fall upon us we here at Hoodies are today launching our Crowd Funding Campaign!

What Hoodies has achieved in 12 months is unlike anything else really seen before. We have gone from literally nowhere to being the most important new online publication with more than 40,000 views a month from across the world.

We have been so lucky to have so many great contributors and advertisers get onboard but now we need to push like we have never pushed before and really bring Hoodies into popular culture. To do that we need more money! We need to build a new website, track data and build our own independent data base!

We know everyone is doing it tough! We know things are tight, but right now more than ever we need a publication that is based on common sense, that is holding governments, people and society to account! While we are holding people to account we are entertaining, we are giving light to issues and people not seen in mainstream networks and we are doing it all in an away that is truly authentic.

We need your support and we want to keep Hoodies Magazine FREE to everyone! So! If you have read Hoodies Magazine, if you have shared it, if you think we are and can continue to make a difference then please get onboard with our Crowd Funding campaign…hit the bank account details in the flyer $5, $10, $50…$1,000 or whatever it will all go to keeping the bastards honest! And please share this message and flyer with everyone you have ever met in your life!

Issue 13 is a huge moment in the history of the Hoodies Magazine, it will be become the moment where we did what Jeff Bezos did and said I need to survive and I’ll get the funding from whoever I need to to make this whole thing work! So please get onboard and give us our Jeff Bezos moment!

Help keep Hoodies FREE and keep on asking, Why Hoodies? Because it matters!

We are incredibly lucky to have Robbie Bell and his awesome company City Larder on board with Hoodies Magazine thank you to Robbie and his crew for getting onboard!

We’re also more than happy to be helping Robbie, his wife Bec and their boy Monty raise the awareness of dyslexia in kids. An issue of profound importance that if we really get behind can help a lot of kids avoid a life of crime or simply just missing out on what life has to offer.

Please read and share the article about Monty and what we can do to help the kids with dyslexia.

Good morning and welcome to the Hoodies News and Views…

The thing this latest issue of Hoodies Magazine has established is that it is the place to read different opinions on a range of topics. Elon Musk often says that X aka Twitter is the modern town square of social media and our Hoodies Magazine is quickly becoming the town square of online publications.

We don’t have a political agenda rather we have a common sense agenda. An agenda of authenticity and of accountability! Views from all sides of the political divide, views and opinions on a range of topics where we don’t all agree but where we understand that not agreeing with one another does not make any of us racist homophobic bigots, rather it makes us people concerned about the world around us.

In this latest issue of Hoodies we spoke to former drug dealer, for drug addict, former violent offender, for prison inmate; Gary (Gaz) Wright to show how he’s not only turned his life around but how he is helping as many young people has he can also turn their lives around. Via his social media network Gaz has built a following of more than 200,000 and is unquestionably helping youths more than any safe injecting room ever could!

Gaz is an inspiration and if governments were actually serious about making a difference they’d be listening to more people like Gaz rather than listening to more incompetent bureaucrats.

Over the next few days we’ll be posting stories from Issue 13 of Hoodies so please keep on sharing and reading and as always keep on asking; Why Hoodies? Because it matters!
