Two tiny seeds fell to the same patch of soil.
The first one was eager. “Let's grow,” it said, bursting through the dirt at the first sign of sun.
The second stayed still. “Not yet,” it whispered, listening instead to the wind and waiting for the rain.
Weeks passed. The first seed had become a small, proud sprout — admired by bees and beetles alike.
But when summer scorched the earth, its roots were too shallow. It withered before autumn arrived.
The second seed sprouted late. Quietly. Slowly.
By the time the frost came, it was small but strong — rooted deep, watered well, and ready for what came next.
Growth isn't a race. Sometimes the strongest roots are the ones we don't see — not yet.
