Hello Friends.

As some of you are aware, I used to operate a travel blog back from 2015 to 2018, wherein I used to write on all the places I visited, post pictures and videos. It grew fairly popular towards it's end with sponsorships & collaborations with airlines / hotels & other brands coming my way but eventually I had to stop it for some personal reasons when I moved to Australia.

Now life seems good and I am at a happy place. I still want to do something apart from regular 9-to-6 job. So I have tried to "re-ignite" my favourite hobby of travel blogging.

May I request you to have a look at my travel blog FLY WITH SHAUNAK and let me know how you guys like it ?

Just a week ago, I along with my family went to the Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple.

This Hindu temple in Carrum Downs region in Victoria is some 30-35 KMs from Melbourne CBD and is one of the major Hindu temples in Victoria and a key spiritual and cultural hub for the Hindu community.
It is built in a South Indian style with beautiful architectural carvings.

Happy Diwali to all Indians and Hindus across the globe!!

Diwali is not just a festival for fireworks and eating sweets. We celebrate this festival to commemorate the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. Throw away the darkness (shallow, hollow feelings of anger, lust, greed, arrogance, envy, etc.) from your heart and try to develop a personality like God “Ram” - who embodies compassion, sincerity, honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity.

Diwali was first celebrated in Ayodhya (India) on Ram’s return to his kingdom with his wife Sita and younger brother Lakshman after 14 years of exile, and after he killed the demon king Ravan, who despite being a devout follower of Shiva, despite being such an intelligent and knowledgeable being, reduced himself to all the negative qualities we can think of and became a tyrant. His end was necessary, and hence Ram - the 7th avatar of God Vishnu - had to come to earth.

This is “why” we do this.

Thought for the Day:
Sweets, fun, laughter, fireworks during Diwali are all like short-term profit (to give an example). Forgetting why we celebrate our festivals is a long-term loss. Never fail to see long-term loss over short-term profit.

Happy Diwali ❤️❤️ !!
