THE ICE HOCKEY CLASSIC IS BACK!!! CANADA VS USA

Arguably one of the biggest personalities in Australian Ice hockey and Global Director of StopConcussions is bringing back the multiple sellout spectacular, which has featured an impressive array of current ice hockey superstars and alumni. Past names like Wayne Gretzky and Brent Burns have featured in games and have been amazing for the fans in attendance.

This year is shaping up to be bigger and better with the tagline:

Perth Thunder got it done tonight against the Adrenaline 7-4

Both sides battled it out for most of the game until the second half of the final period, when Perth thundered their way home with 3 unanswered goals.

#36 Ben Breault sealed the game with a buzzer-beater Shorthanded Empty Net goal that would have made the late Colleen Tomlin proud.

The Network Hockey team extends their heartfelt condolences to Colleen's family and friends, Perth Thunder and everyone feeling this loss.

Perth's next game is away @ O'Brien Icehouse on Saturday, 14th June against the Melbourne Ice.

Brisbane Lightning had a dominating weekend against the Mustangs to firmly claim 2nd position in the league standings.

A scoreless 1st period had the Lightning on the back foot, they hit the ground running with an impressive 9-goal haul while the Mustangs could only muster up 3 in the final two periods of play.

The next game for the Lightning is against the Canberra Brave at AIS in Canberra on the 14th of June.

Melbourne Ice continue their winning ways, defeating Newcastle Northstars 5-3 in a hard-fought game.

Northstars opted for the extra attacker in the game's dying stages, but #2 Liam Webster for the Ice sealed the deal with an empty net goal with 45 seconds remaining.

Next up for the Ice is an away game in Melbourne for the SOLD OUT Darby #3 against the Mustangs O'Brien Icehouse on the 13th of June.

Newcastle Northstars dominated the Canberra Brave winning comfortably 6-4, scoring twice in each period.

Big take away from the game was the unstoppable #17 Francis Drolet finding the back of the net on 4 occasions.

In a thriller that saw the special teams making the most moves the Brisbane Lightning defeat the Mustangs 5-2 to take second spot on the ladder.

This game had 3 Short handed goals and 2 Power Play goals and a total of 42 penalty minutes.

These Goliaths get set to do it all again tomorrow at 3:45 in Iceworld, a game that has already sold out.
