Taking place on stolen Wurundjeri Land, part of the wider Kulin Nation. We acknowledge Wurundjeri elders past, present and emerging, and the staunch resistance of the Wurundjeri community to the violent colonial project.

We pay respect to the millennia of custodianship of the lands and waters of this continent, and the many First Nations communities who have resisted their Countries being host to radioactive waste dumps, uranium mines, and nuclear reactors. The nuclear industry has repeatedly lost these battles thanks to the staunch determination of grassroots mob.

Nuclear: Never Safe.
Fukushima: Never Here.

FoE member Healthy Futures has launched a bold plan to electrify hospitals across Australia, starting with nine pilot sites in every state and territory. This initiative will reduce emissions, cut costs, and build a roadmap for a sustainable healthcare future.

Healthy Futures is calling on the Australian Government to commit $1.5 million in the 2025/2026 budget to fund feasibility studies for the electrification of nine hospitals across Australia.

The proposal, supported by Federal MPs Dr Sophie Scamps, Dr Helen Haines, Zali Steggall, Kylea Tink, Allegra Spender, Dr Monique Ryan and Senator David Pocock aims to help Australia’s healthcare sector, which contributes 7% of the country’s total emissions, transition to a cleaner and more resilient future.

Friends of Lee Point currently have 5 Days of Action to Save Lee Point. Follow along and join in by learning about the campaign and signing the petition. Binybara 'Lee Point' near Darwin is an area of deep cultural significance to the Larrakia Peoples. It is currently under threat from Defence Housing Australia who have Federal Government permission to build 800 houses. We recently featured and interview from 3CR Community Radio's Tuesday Breakfast presenter Phuong with Larrakia, Kungarakan, Gurindji and French political creative Laniyuk. Despite Larrakia opposition and the community campaign clearing has begun, but the devastation has been halted by Environmental Justice Australia's application to the Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority (AAPA) to recognise sacred sites in the Lee Point development zone.

This week we hear about two campaigns at the forefront of opposition to the military expansion on this continent. ‘Native Title Rockets’ Campaign Coordinator and documentary Director Rocky speaks with Priya Kunjan (Thursday Breakfast) about Southern Launch’s Koonibba rocket testing range that ...
