PUBLIC NOTICE - INTERRUPTION TO WERRIS CREEK WATER SUPPLY, 3 MAY 2022 BETWEEN 10AM AND 2PM

Work on the Quipolly Water Project is progressing well and on 3 May between 10am and 2pm, work will be undertaken in Werris Creek on a significant and essential part of the project.

A planned interruption to the Werris Creek water supply is to allow the fitting of improved pipework at the reservoir off Gordon Street and to connect the new reservoir.

This work will enable Liverpool Plains Shire Council to reduce the effect on consumers for future shutdowns.

Supply Interruption is for the 3 May between the hours of 10am and 2pm. In the event of bad weather or issues on the 3rd, there may be an interruption on 4tMay between 10am to 2pm.

During the scheduled shutdown consumers are asked to not use any water, other than for toilet flushing. Some consumers may experience some dirty water following the interruption to water supply.

If you do, please contact Customer Service as soon as possible while the crew is still in the area.

For any enquires relating to this project please contact LPSC Water Services Staff, by telephoning 02 6746 1755.

Council apologises for any inconvenience.

IMPORTANT FLOOD UPDATE FROM LIVERPOOL PLAINS SHIRE COUNCIL

Council will close both pools in Quirindi and Werris Creek Friday, 26 November.

Council also wishes to advise that all sportsgrounds will be closed this weekend as well.
The Freedom Campground at Willow Tree is closed due to a flooded access causeway.

Council will be regularly updating its Facebook and Webpage: www.liverpoolplains.nsw.gov.au with any important announcements regarding the weather and flooding.

Major roads and highways in your local area and any associated closures are often managed by Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) www.livetraffic.com.au

During and immediately after significant floods and storms, please reconsider taking non-essential journeys to affected areas.
Do not attempt to drive through floodwater. Floodwater can damage roads, make causeways impassable and people that have tried to cross flooded roads have been swept away. Trees, powerlines and other debris can restrict access to affected areas after a severe storm.
