Flashback Friday to almost nine years ago, when the historic 500-hectare Yarraberb Estate, built near Raywood in 1908, went under the hammer.

The property was home to Jack Gallagher for more than a decade, but at 88, the sheep farmer decided it was time to retire.

“Dad bought the place to spend the latter part of his years farming there,” reported his daughter, Jackie.

“It’s a very peaceful, beautiful property,” she added. “You’re a world away from everything else.”
