Daddy Reviews - North Lakes Christmas Carols 2023

As far as amateur carols in the park go, this was an absolute belter of a free event put on by the council (its like when your kid is being unnaturally nice to you because they want something... what do you want MBRC?)
It was a good chance for families and friends of a few local dance schools to see all the hard work their kids had been up to all year, the food trucks were on point, free face paint and craft were a great touch.
The smart people got there early and did the free stuff and got a feed before the lines grew to the next suburb, but to top it off the main event was a young fella who was on The Voice Australia and he absolutely went off. I've never thought the carol 'little drummer boy' was cool until this kid went full on 'big drummer man' and nailed it! The fireworks took me back to my childhood and had me and the family walking away with smiles from ear to ear.
Even sporting a hangover that would slay a walrus, I can say this Carols in the Park was 5 drummer boys out of 5 and would recommend everyone hit up thier local carols before Christmas!
