Happy International Human Rights Day!!! Thank you Community Broadcasting Association of Australia for shining the light on my Deadly Human Rights radio show on Koori Radio 93.7FM United For Human Rights Australia Australian South East Asian Network - ASEAN

It's International Human Rights Day - a great day to reflect on the role that community radio plays in amplifying the voices of people who may otherwise not have access to the airwaves.

For our station spotlight today we want to shout out Koori Radio 93.7FM in the heart of Sydney, a station which plays an important role in giving a voice to and building the careers of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander musicians, broadcasters, singers and songwriters.

Tune in to Koori Radio tonight from 6-8PM AEDT for Deadly Human Rights, hosted by DJ Bardi Girl, which explores social justice and human rights.

Kutcha will illuminate his catalogue of music Saturday 8th June as he proudly presents 'dalegada’ (long ago) joined by a band of great musician friends.
Kutcha shares that "dalegada is going back to moments when music found its way through me, so the stories of my life, that of my people and of country could be told."

Exciting news! Beryl Women Inc. just launched the Safe and Strong Van.
It was a big day for Beryl Women Inc. as Minister for the Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence –“Minister Yvette Berry , Assistant Minister for Families and community Services – “Minister Emma Davidson” and Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs- “Rachel Stephen Smith” joined us to unveil the Safe and Strong Van on Tuesday 23rd April. The Van is designed specifically to deliver specialist therapeutic interventions, trauma counselling, and support to children and young people in the ACT who have lived with domestic violence.

This is the first and only program of its kind in the ACT and we are grateful for the funding received from the Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Grants Program, through the Community Service Directorate, to provide such a valuable contribution to our Canberra kids.
Together, we’re making a difference in the community and offering support where it’s needed most!
