Easyrig has just released a new addition to the Vario range - the Vario 6!

With a 4-14kg payload range, the Vario 6 is lighter and suits mid-sized camera setups.

The other big inclusion is an operator-adjustable tension k**b, meaning you no longer need a colleague to adjust the rig.

These new models are available for pre-order now and are expected to begin shipping next month.

Today marks a milestone for the Lemac family - 50 YEARS IN BUSINESS!

In September 1975 as a very young cameraman, John Bowring registered ‘Lemac’ in his lunch break, so he could rent the latest gear to GTV9 in Melbourne.
Long story short, the sensible corporate names were taken and running out of time on his break Lemac became official.

John and his band of teenage friends had been using Lemac as the unofficial production logo on the Super8 and 16mm films they had been making... (hint) many of them were Camel fans.
He had been meaning to go back and change it later, but he never did… the rest is history.

The evolution of technology since that time has been nothing short of amazing.
We’ve had a passion for it from the very beginning.
We were the first to offer both film and video, the first to supply High-Definition and lead the way introducing 4K to Australia.
Today we are the first Australian rental house to jump into 65mm capture with the Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65 having just landed.

It’s really about the people though.
A huge thanks to all of you for your support across the years.

24MM ATLAS MERCURY 1.5x FULL FRAME ANAMORPHIC

Building on the multiple sets of Atlas Mercury Full Frame Anamorphic Primes we have available in our fleet, the 24mm is something else.

The first of its kind on Aussie shores, widening our offerings yet again.

With a 1.5x squeeze factor, the Mercury’s result in approx 2.20:1 de-squeezed image on Open Gate sensors like Alexa 35, Alexa Mini LF and Sony Venice 1/2. So easily cropped to 2.00:1 or 2.39:1 with very little loss of sensor resolution.
