KARYORRHEXIS (NZ/AUS) – Graven Odes Demo cassette: From the ashes of Vesicant…. but this hits different. Hard to deem an ‘upcoming band’ with Johnston behind New Zealand’s Vesicant and Gawith on drums (Cemetery Urn, Vahrzaw amongst others). But for those that have witnessed Karyorrhexis’ initial live rituals in Brisbane and Melbourne, you can’t help but acknowledge that new, primal energy of a band that fans of Krypts or Immolation might enjoy. For its point of difference, track four ‘Cairn’ which then rolls into Gawith’s militant battery to sever open ‘Terminus Est’ is a highlight. $15

COMING SOON: The following titles are on their way to us from Poland’s Agonia Records. Due to the over-inflated shipping costs of the Polish postal system, we’ve had to opt for Sea-Mail. We should have this order by 2032.

Agonia's planned Malevolent Creation reissues have been postponed/delayed. The label hasn’t officially announced a new release date, but we keep hearing the back end of August. We have pre-ordered both CD & LP variants and will post updates as soon as we know anything definitive.

Locality often brings an expectation of stylistic influence and sound and these two South American acquisitions from Thailand’s Hell Productions are no different. For those of you that like dirty Black/Death from South America read on.

BLASPHEMANIAC – Be***al Occult Ceremony CD: Black/Thrash from Brazil, this is Blasphemaniac’s first album from 2021. Originally released by Deathrune Records, this was repressed by Hell Productions in ’23. Rabid, raw and old school, a true homage to classic South American Metal. Seven tracks plus a Sabbat cover.

SADISTIKO – Abhorraciones EP CD: Sadistiko is a 3-piece Black/Death project with members from Guatemala, El Salvador and Germany.
