I've seen too many artists fail before they give themselves a chance to succeed. I've seen not enough artists take a chance because they're too afraid to fail. I know too many songs that sound like another. I will never have enough years left in my life to hear more music that makes me feel something real.
You're more than likely sitting on your best track. Right now. Somewhere deep in your hard drive labelled "Untitled Demo Version 5". It's not bad. What you might have is "Demo-itis". Where you've heard your own track over & over & over so many times that you feel uninspired, can't hear it another way & ultimately abandon it.
The most successful artists in the industry DON'T do it alone. They lean HEAVILY on their teams so they can focus solely on the part that they LOVE. Why are you so different? Why do you need to do it all on your own? Is it really weak to ask for help?
