🏘12 townhouses will be built on the former Bunnings site on Yaamba Road in Rockhampton.

The plans include two-storey four-bedroom units on the rear of the site, to be accessed from Potts Street.

The supermarket giant Coles bought the site for almost $10 million-dollars in 2018.

👩‍⚖️The company gained approval in 2023 for a shopping centre at the site, however it was taken to the planning court by neighbouring retail centre owners and the project was discontinued.

The residential development was a separate part of the application and was approved by Rockhampton Council today.

The front of the site will remain available for future commercial development.
