I actually won a prize. OK, all I did was ask a question and the generous Lauren Clarke gave me her very useful Novel Project Planner. Contains weekly priorities and notes pages as well as ARC and social media trackers.

Lauren gave a fabulous talk titled, "Killer conflict."

I'm nearly 20 000 words into a werewolf fantasy. So, this workshop on writing fantasy was both interesting and timely.

Had the privilege of meeting Fiona McArthur over the weekend, at the Romance Writers of Australia conference.

Love how she is so prepared to talk to and help those with less experience. She truly has a heart of gold.

Really enjoying the Romance Writers of Australia conference. So many great authors and publishers. Really love how friendly everyone is. Lots of great information too.

Thre photos are from the coctail party on the first night. Nicole Flockton went to school with me and is now a successful romance author.

There was also a contingent from the Rockingham writing circles with Nola Marie Hartridge, Teena Raffa-Mulligan and Claire Boston.

Love that the author, illustrators and publisher are all local!

Rob Britza has written a wonderful, enchating story about a sentient garden gnome who is placed in different parts of the garden by the young boy who lives in the house, Wilbur. In each spot he meets new animals including New Holland Honeyeaters, lizards, frogs and chooks. This is a must read for every Aussie child.

I think 2022 will bring writing and books.

What's better than a book and a cup of tea? In this household 2022 is bringing in lots of cups of iced bubble tea. So maybe I should say, what's better than a book and a cup of bubble tea?
