Published author Cheryl Buckley joined me with two of her teen daughters at Coffee n Chat - IPL Radio to talk about Mothers Day, large families and the strength of family, when the primary care giver lives with disability.

Cheryl was diagnosed in recent years with early onset Parkinsons Disease and it of course changed her entire life. She writes about it in Findi g Invisible People and the one constant, despite all the changes occurring- is the love and ferocity she shows in protecting and nurturing her family.

Both girls spoke so eloquently about being youth carers, dealing with community judgement, educating others about Invisible disabilities and the love they have in their home.

While on air, their younger siblings say attentively in the radio starion foyer listening to their sisters and mum talking about life.

It was all smiles when they had their station photo.

Extremely proud to have had my son join me on the airwaves last week for IPL Radio .

Aside from knowing he would sing a few songs live, we agreed to let the conversation just flow naturally.

At 20 years old he has certainly had a fair chair of challenges, self doubt and change. Through all of it, he has found resilience and strength.

He spoke about me talking health and finding your people when times are tough. Speaking to other young men from lived experience.

To all of his people, his partner, his mates, his DFES crew, and of course the man in the mirror- you are all awesome.
