Joining us from the Freiburg Philharmonisches Orchester and just now from the Australian World Orchestra's performances, clarinettist Oliver Shermacher will make his way to Craven Creek to play with some our best wind players in music by Ravel, Ibert, Poulenc, Wyttenbach and Sdraulig.

With a few changes there are now some extra seats available for Sunday morning's concert as well as Saturday's. No seats available in the afternoon concerts.

This is worth spending 15 minutes of your time. Our pianist this year, Konstantin Shamray, speaks to Vanessa Hughes on ABC's Drive Live back in June. You can hear and see him actually live at Craven Creek 2025 on September 13 and 14. Details at our website.

This week on ABC Classic, our Performer of the Week is the Russian-Australian pianist Konstantin Shamray.

I suppose it had to happen, but the old stage in the old barn could not really manage with a piano or two and bunch of musicians as well, so a new stage was in order and here it is. A bit of work left to stain the surface to make it the best stage around in an old shed.

And now onto Craven Creek 2025 next month. Check out our website (www.cravencreekmusic.com) to see the terrific programme this year featuring, of course, a piano, and wonderful pianist Konstantin Shamray.

What's playing at Craven Creek this year? Well, over the next few weeks we'll post performances of some the pieces for you to savour. Not our players of course. You'll have to turn up to hear them.

Here's the first movement of one, Ibert's trois pièces brèves.

And keeping with the French theme, here's another, Poulenc's sextet for piano and winds.
