A video we created for a client to encourage people to make a will bequest for medical research into a range of diseases including Parkinsons and Schizophrenia. The concept behind the video could easily be re purposed into almost anything.

I'm the first to admit, I don't have a monopoly on good ideas. And I'm pleased to acknowledge, when they come from someone else.

For example, Madeline Dudziak from Production Hub, recently listed five good reasons why a professional video production company is the best choice for creating social media content and for YouTube.

1. Time saver. A lot of work goes into creating video, writing a script, choosing locations for interviews and shots. Not to mention the editing process. Unless making videos is your hobby, get a professional.

2. Access to high quality equipment. If you're going to the effort to create a video for your business, don't waste your time and money making a project that will be embarrassing. Quality is everything.

3. Good lighting. One of the key technical aspects of getting great footage, is having excellent lighting. It helps draw the camera to focus on the important things in the shot.

4. Great Sound. Professional video companies understand how to get the best sound even in the most challenging of circumstances. And they have the best equipment to achieve it.

5. Post Production Speed. It takes time to properly edit raw footage into a compelling final product. Leave it to the professionals.

Work smarter, not harder. Go with the pros.

We did a quick test of my new set of prime lenses and Canon's best all round zoom lens. the 24-70mm F2.8 II. I have to say the results were outstanding, given what was shot is basically raw and received no grading of any kind. The Primes give the footage a filmic quality. I am very excited and so should all of my existing and prospective clients. Woo hoo. Bring it

I am always curious to know how blockbuster movies actually get made. This is the sequel to the original Blade Runner first created more than 30 years ago. What is interesting is that normally a film like this relies almost solely on Green Screen effects. But in Blade Runner 20149, the Director wanted to make it as real as possible.
