🗣️🗣️ Talking Point!!

Here at Youth On Beat, YOU are in charge! We’ve got your back with friendly support and training, so you can own your role, grow your skills, and have an AWESOME time!

This is your chance to speak and be heard as Gippsland’s youth. Whether you’ve got something to say about big issues, want to share your story,
or just dream out loud about the future, this segment is for YOU.

You can jump on the panel and share your perspective, get hands-on with the tech to run sound and recording, or help film and capture the action behind the scenes. However you want to be involved, there’s a place for you here!

Topics may include:
‘Preparing for Leaving School’ or ‘Integrity in Relationships’

Not a fan of the spotlight? No worries! Behind every superstar, there’s a tech savvy person behind it all. You’ll help press record at the right time, and watch the audio levels so nothing sounds too loud or too
quiet.

Roles:
Panel Member: Explore the topic in the discussion group
Tech: Help set up and monitor the audio
Filming: Help film content for social media

In this segment, we’re having a little fun, debate style! Youth will be facing off against each other with a wacky debate topic. You’ll take a side and use all your skills in argument, reasoning, and persuasion to get your point across. It’s all about making your case
clearly, thinking on your feet, and maybe even making people laugh. May the most well-reasoned argument win!

Topics may include: ‘Is cereal a soup?’ or ‘Do fish get thirsty?’
