When I was 18, I bought a copy of Kerrang! magazine that came with a free CD. On it was a track by Hed PE called “Darky” - and it blew my mind. It was chaotic, unpredictable, and so different to the nu-metal that was everywhere at the time. Just insanely cool.

This was well before streaming and YouTube, so I ordered their debut album at the love record store, waited about eight weeks for the CD to arrive, and I’ve been a massive fan ever since.

Today, I had the chance to interview their lead vocalist, M.C.U.D - AKA Jahred Gomes.

I genuinely love doing this show. I’ve been lucky enough to interview so many bands I grew up loving and it still absolutely spins me out.
