TWO new issues are scheduled for release at the end of September 2026 (fingers crossed). BOTH issues 3 & 4 will be released at the same time!!! We have so much amazing new content, we couldn't fit it in one issue, so we've had to make two issues simultaneously!!!

Absolutely FANTASTIC day at the MONSTER SIZE Vintage and Modern Toy Fair on Sunday 9-Aug-2026

Photos here of the DARK OZ tables, the big venue, and other stall holders (to show just a small percentage of the overall variety)

One of the BEST single day shows EVER for DARK OZ - lots of sales, and lots of amazing purchases too (ha ha - I can't help myself, especially when there is just so much cool stuff surrounding you)

AND... the date has already been locked in for 2027 - MONSTER SIZE Vintage and Modern Toy Fair - save the date Sun 8-Aug-2027 - do NOT miss out!!!

Overall it was an amazing weekend in Melbourne. On Friday (7-Aug-2026) I had several incredibly positive meetings with film producers - fingers crossed it will lead to more work in the future (keep following this page DECAY horror comic for updates). I also had time to visit the awesome comic book shops in Melbourne cbd - Minotaur Entertainment and All Star Comics Melbourne. Also caught up with lots of familiar faces, fans of DARK OZ comics, customers (new and returning), and met many new people. All up a brilliant and fun weekend, though also a bit exhausting with so much to do, and the road trip from Adelaide and back (1,534km round trip).

Sorry for the delay in posting photos, just so busy here with so much to do, and working on new comics and magazines from DARK OZ - groovy!

This Friday - 7-Aug-2026 - DARK OZ has once again been selected to pitch our stories (AND the ART of the comic book artists involved) to Australian film & TV producers.

The event is called Nexus - it's like a 'speed dating' session with a number of quick pitch sessions/meetings with a wide range of producers, followed by a networking 'mixer lunch'.

This is part of MIFF - the Melbourne International Film Festival

DARK OZ creator/author Darren Koziol will be pitching stories and characters from DARK OZ comic books. As comic books are 'visual storytelling' this means that the artists will also be having their work, and their names, recognised by the same film & TV producers.
The chance of any story being made into a blockbuster film is incredibly slim, but it's the networking and experience of it all which is invaluable and can possibly lead to other ventures - it's how we got the work in the movie 'Sting' a couple years ago.

Wish us luck this year!
The meetings are in Melbourne on this Friday - morning to lunch.
Then on Saturday we do the set-up (bump-in) for the Toy Fair, and on Sunday you can find DARK OZ at the MONSTER SIZE Vintage and Modern Toy Fair at the Melbourne Showgrounds - we'll see you all there!
