DARK OZ is mostly known for producing great fun comic books, yet in recent posts we haven't shown much work from our upcoming comic book projects - so here's a sample from Retro Sci-Fi Tales #13 (hopefully out in Nov-Dec 2026)

Fan-favourite characters 'BRUNO & MAGGIE' (driving their supercharged VJ Valiant) return in 'Hall of 1,000 Mirrors' as they team up again with the kids from the 'Monster Club', this time to do battle with Evil Killer Clowns!!!

Imagine 'The X-Files' versus a combination of 'Killer Klowns from Outer Space' and 'John Carpenter's THE THING' - it's seriously frickin' AWESOME!!!

Seriously AWESOME weekend at the Mega Toy Fair in Adelaide - 30-31 May 2026

THANKS to everyone who dropped by for a chat, a photo, and especially to do some shopping - it was out biggest and best year there EVER!!!

Saturday was just crazy busy - I barely got to take any photos (the crowds in these photos are thin compared to the busy times, I only had a chance to take photos towards the end of Sunday when it was quieter). We even had a few Cosplay visitors (more than the few I caught here)

Adding to that, we also had a movie night on Friday night (for the Bonfire Horror Club at the Palace Nova Cinemas and sold a lot there) and today (just a couple hours ago) our latest Kickstarter wrapped up, very successfully funded at 672% - WOW!!! So overall YEAH a FANTASTIC last few days!!! (I even got to drive around the oval track in the Showgrounds, ha ha)

What's next? I hear you ask! Supanova Comic Con & Gaming in Sydney mid June, another movie night at the Palace at the end of June, the amazing NEW Australian Pinball Expo in Adelaide at the start of July, Metro Comic Con in Melbourne in mid July (with Casper Van Dien, Michael Ironside and LINDA HAMILTON) and MORE!!!

The DARK OZ tables are all set-up for the Mega Toy Fair this weekend - Adelaide Showgrounds (Wayville Pavilion), 30-31 May 2026 - open from 10am both days!!!

Over 400 tables - the place is frickin' HUGE!!!
And there's still more traders setting up! I took these photos today (Friday 29-May-2026) during set-up, and I had to leave early to head to the movie night (Bonfire Horror Club at the Palace Nova Cinemas) so there will be a LOT more tables and exhibitors set-up on Saturday when the show opens!

The rare 1st issue, on John Carpenter's THE THING, is also available in very low numbers - it does cost a bit more as a rare collectable item - only x40 copies were printed (in Aug 2023)

Every issue stands alone - you can enjoy the new #4 issue without the others. There's also a great budget deal for issues 3 & 4 together, or the trio of 2, 3 & 4. #1 is available in the set of 1-4 and as an Add-on item.
