Today we pay tribute to our dear friend Ray Edwards who passed away a year ago today 💔 Ray & his wife Julie will always be in our hearts ♥️

We met them both 6 years ago in the Meekatharra Caravan Park. We were just learning about gold detecting back then, it had been weeks & weeks and we hadn’t found any gold ever. Ray felt sorry for us as everyday we would come back with nothing. We had a GPX5000 back then & Ray helped Pete with the settings on his machine. Even took us out to a known gold spot & we still didn’t find anything 🤦‍♀️ We eventually did start finding gold & the rest is history. We have been friends ever since 🤗
When Ray got sick very quickly, they were taking him from WA goldfields back up to Queensland where they have family. When they were coming through SA we drove up & met them in Port Augusta so we could say our goodbyes. 😢 Thank you Julie for your permission to post this, you will always be in our hearts ♥️

This is why we love helping people, just like Ray & Julie did 🤩

We only have 3 months warranty on the ute, so we took her 4WDing today, so far so good. South Australia is pretty too, this is Spencer Gulf with the Flinders Ranges in the background. This is about 30 minutes outside of Whyalla. If anyone is going through Whyalla we would be happy to show you around 🤩

Rhino Racks are off the front of the vehicle as that’s where our Gen 3 Starlink will go when we are on the road 🤩

Our 7KVA Generator is coming off the truck, now before you all say that’s an overkill for what we needed, it was not being used, so instead of buying one & we had room, we thought why not.

It was originally bought for Pete’s dad that had home dialysis a few years back, so they had this generator hooked to their house, they were living in Kimba at the time & sometimes the power would go out, so they got the generator for those times. His dad has since passed away. 😢

We also used to run two of these in our coffee vans a few years ago too, they are an absolutely awesome generators.

This one will be up for sale soon as it won’t fit in our new Ute 🤪
