The 2024 marriage stats are out from the ABS, always interesting to read 😍

If you don't want to read the whole article, the top facts are -

❤ A total of 120,844 marriages were registered in 2024, a 2% increase on the previous year.

❤ The median age for grooms was 32.8 years, while the median age for brides was 31.2 years.

❤ There were 4,746 same-sex or gender-diverse marriages registered in 2024 — 4.1% more than the
4,558 logged in 2023.

❤ Saturday remained the most popular wedding day, with nearly 55,000 ceremonies taking place and all of the top 42 wedding dates falling on a Saturday.

One day in early 2024 witnessed more couples marry than any other day that year, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
