If you haven’t yet heard when our region’s fire danger period starts, see the info below and get your place fire ready.

🚨 Fire Danger Period Alert - Starts Monday, 18th November at 1:00 AM 🚨

The Fire Danger Period for our area officially begins on Monday, 18th November at 1:00 AM. During this time, restrictions will apply to reduce the risk of fires, and it’s essential that we’re all prepared to keep our community safe.

What You CAN'T Do During Fire Danger Period:

• No open-air burning without a permit.
• No burning off on private properties.
• No solid fuel barbecues or campfires unless in designated areas.
• Use gas and electric barbecues only as specified by local regulations.

What You CAN Do:

• Use gas or electric barbecues with extreme caution.
• Seek permits where required for essential activities.

Prepare Your Property Now:

• Slash and clear overgrown grass and vegetation.
• Clean gutters of leaves and debris.
• Reduce fuel loads throughout your property.
• Ensure fire pumps, hoses, and equipment are ready to go.
• Review, update, and practice your fire plan so it’s ready to use if needed.

Always making sure you carry a minimum of a 9Ltr charged fire extinguisher or knapsack at all times when slashing or completing high risk work

Now is the time to act. Please make sure your property preparation is complete before the Fire Danger Period begins. Let’s work together to keep our community safe this fire season.

Dusty has been performing on and off for 40 years with his dad and also solo.

In recent years plays with the Floyd Black Band & enjoys busking the streets of Tamworth!

Dusty is inspired by Slim Dusty and Charley Boyter & this is reflected in his compositions & performance style.
