Since I stopped publishing Fishing Monthly Magazine, there's been a bit of a vacuum when it comes to finding out what's new in the tackle and tournament scene.

I started Tackle Fridays a couple of years ago to help fill that gap and it's become popular. It's usually just 10-15 minutes in a Friday afternoon letting you know what's happening in the FM and ABT office.

The leopard doesn’t change its spots.

Seems like a name change hasn’t stopped Robyn Lorraine Macartney (nee Lawrie) from having sticky fingers.

Charged again - this time in Ipswich courts - for allegedly helping herself to someone else’s funds.

31/07/2025 -Robyn MACARTNEY was charged with an offence of;

Criminal Code s408C(1)(a)(i)&(2)(d) - Fraud - dishonest application of property.

She is currently on parole for director fraud. She served 11 months of the head sentence of 7 years.

We did the maths and she was most likely using some is these funds to defend herself for our case.

See if they’re as lenient this time….

For those who don’t know the history: she was an ex FM General Manager and partner who knocked off $1.6m and did 11 months soft time.
