It's easy to get lost down the rabbit hole, especially when it comes to positioning yourself in the market and how to promote yourself, because there is no set rule on how to do this.

❤️‍🔥Who the heck is my ideal client?

Instead of getting overwhelmed like Alice and sending yourself on a wild goosechase, take it one task at a time. You don't have to do all the things at once.

I know, I know.... numbers aren't our fave thing, but they are important when it comes to your marketing. In particular, your meta ads.

I hear all the time about how person x is doing fantastic in their ads, but person y just can't seem to get as good results.

Apart form the setup and overall objectives, it's also because every industry is different and holds different standards when it comes to performance.

Are you still with me? or did you nod off when I said the word 'numbers' 😴

Alright so let's talk CTR (click through rates) when it comes to your meta ads.
As of late 2024, the legal industry has the highest CTR sitting at 1.6% (didn't see that coming), while finance & insurance takes the wooden spoon at 0.56%.

Now that's not to say that you shouldn't run meta ads, but it's important to have realistic industry expectations when investing into this.

This is also a guide because if you currently have meta ads running and you are sitting at a higher % of this, you should be happy with that!

Put the phone down and for the love of [cats] do NOT incorporate this into your 'strategy'

This isn't a strategy, it's a death sentence ☠️ (okay that's WAY DRAMATIC) but it's the only way I can stress how gross it is.

I get it, times are tough, you need to get some clients walking in the door, but this is absolutely not the way to do it.

The world of socials revolves around community building, trust and authenticity. Doing this, is the complete opposite. This is the equivalent of an annoying telemarketer.

Ask yourself this question, if you received a message like that, would you be excited or would you do the biggest eye roll in history and get the ick?

I know my answer.

Here's what I would do instead:

Send a welcome message to your new followers (without selling). Genuinely get to know them, and let them get to know you! I wouldn't offer any form of service unless they start asking about it in a conversation.

PLUS, If you are wanting to offer an incentive to new clients, add a discount code in your bio, stories or website. Somewhere obvious that won't be missed.

I can't tell you what client this is but what I can tell you is the $$ ad spend we used in combination with organic management.

Ads don't always have to be super budget draining. Over the course of one month, this client spent a total of $140 and obtained 2 new high paying clients.

No fancy campaigns or tricks.. Just results!
