Reds Global is proud to announce the successful dismantling of the MK760 tower crane on the Sydney Metro West – Western Tunnelling Package.

This complex operation at the project's Clyde Dive worksite involved precision planning and ex*****on using Borger Cranes 120T and 400T mobile cranes, with full compliance to SWMS, lift plans, and exclusion zone protocols.

Our team mobilised 13 semi-trailers and 10 trucks to complete the de-mob safely and efficiently.

The MK760L dismantle methodology was meticulously engineered and executed by the Reds Global project team, ensuring maximum safety and minimal disruption to surrounding operations.

This milestone marks a successful collaboration with the Gamuda Laing O’Rourke Consortium, the team behind the Sydney Metro West - Western Tunnelling Package, which is delivering 9km of twin metro tunnels between Westmead and Sydney Olympic Park

Our Victorian crew has successfully dismantled one of the mighty Favco 630D tower crane at Icon's data centre project in Melbourne, wrapping up another milestone with precision and professionalism.

From planning to ex*****on, the dismantle was carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with our commitment to excellence. The Favco 630D has finished its lift duties on this project, and from the combined efforts of the Reds Global team, Icon and Encore Crane Services, it’s now down and packed away without a hitch.

Big thanks to everyone involved – another great example of teamwork and capability in action.

We are pleased to welcome Isabel Stevenson to the Reds Global team!

With nearly a decade of hands-on experience in the cranes and rigging industry, Isabel is known as a driven and practical engineering professional with a strong foundation in tower and mobile crane operations, project delivery, and client engagement.

Isabel began her career as an Undergraduate Engineer, where she worked as a rigging consultant while completing her Bachelor of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering (Honours) at the University of Technology Sydney. Her Honours research centered on modelling renewable energy systems, and she brings that passion for sustainable technologies to Reds. Here, she contributes to our ongoing efforts to decarbonise the fleet and deliver environmentally conscious solutions to our clients.

Now, as a Senior Project Engineer, Isabel brings her deep technical knowledge, strategic problem-solving, and calm leadership to some of our most complex lifting operations. Her ability to manage large-scale projects while maintaining strong client relationships makes her a standout addition to the team.

The Macquarie Park skyline just got a little busier with our Terex CTT331 tower crane now in place at Richard Crookes Constructions’ Ivanhoe Building C3 project, and ready to support construction over the next year.

This marks a major milestone in the delivery of 162 new apartments, rooftop gardens, and activated retail spaces — all designed to bring nature into the everyday.

A big thanks to the teams at RCC, Reds Global, Borger Cranes, and every partner who helped make this lift smooth and successful.

Exciting progress at the Moore Park Precinct Village project as the tower crane is officially up!

Led by BESIX Watpac, this is an exciting project at Sydney’s famous sports and entertainment hub. Located in front of Allianz Stadium and next door to the Sydney Cricket Ground, the project will deliver public open spaces, food and beverage options, a children’s play area, and a state-of-the-art underground car park with up to 1,500 spaces.

TradeMutt is more than just funky workwear. It’s a social impact brand created by tradies, for tradies, to tackle mental health head-on. Every shirt helps fund TIACS, a free mental health support service offering text and call-back counselling for workers who need someone to talk to.

Over the weekend, our team successfully erected the second tower crane at apt.Residential and Buildcorp Group's build to rent site at Meadowbank. This marks another major step forward in the project’s momentum and capability on site.

We’re thrilled to welcome Jumaa Nimerawi to the team! With over 15 years of experience in project management, construction, and infrastructure, he has successfully led complex builds, safety-focused initiatives, and stakeholder collaborations across Titan Group, Downer, BHP, and more. His expertise in strategic planning, resource optimisation, and compliance management ensures seamless project ex*****on from start to finish.

One standout project Jumaa played a key role in was 32 York St CBD, where he managed the crane installation on a static base and grillage atop the ninth floor of a 100-year-old timber building—an incredible demonstration of precision engineering and logistical expertise.

Beyond his technical skills, Jumaa is a passionate advocate for sustainable design and brings a forward-thinking leadership style to our dynamic environment. Battery Power in Action: Case Study – The Store, Newcastle

Reds Global partnered with BLOC to bring smart, sustainable energy to the forefront of construction at The Store in Newcastle — and the results speak for themselves.

🚧 The Challenge

The site required significant power to run two 24T luffing tower cranes, hoists, pumps, and general equipment — with only an 80a 3-phase supply. Traditionally, this would have meant bringing in 2 x 500KVA diesel generators.

⚡ The Battery-Powered Solution

Working with Blue Diamond & Net Zero Equipment we eliminated the need for diesel altogether. Instead, we installed a L+ AMPD lithium battery unit, drawing just a 29a feed to meet site demands. The system included dual charging capabilities, ensuring uninterrupted power even during mains disruptions or maintenance.

🌱 Why It Matters

Zero Diesel = Zero Downtime: No more on-site refuelling or generator servicing interruptions.

Huge Carbon Savings: Over 114 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided.

Massive Fuel Reduction: Saved more than 99,000 litres of diesel.

Lower Operating Costs: Significant savings over traditional generator setups.

This project is a perfect example of how switching to battery power isn’t just better for the environment — it’s smarter for the bottom line, too.

We are thrilled to welcome Scott Story as the newest addition to the Reds Global team, taking on the role of Operations Manager in 2025. With a distinguished career spanning decades in the cranes and rigging industry, Scott brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a proven track record of excellence.

Scott's journey began in 1989 with an apprenticeship at P&H Cranes, where he laid the foundation for his technical expertise. He then spent a decade at Lindores Cranes & Rigging, advancing from fitter to maintenance manager. In 2006, he joined Manitowoc Cranes as Country Manager for Aftersales, solidifying his reputation for operational excellence and customer-focused solutions.

Scott's international journey took off in 2009 when he became Director of Operations at Arcomet Asia in Singapore, later stepping into the CEO role in 2012. He continued to demonstrate his exceptional leadership at Hontrade in Hong Kong as CEO in 2015, and later at Uperio USA, where he progressed from COO in 2021 to President in 2022.

Throughout his career, Scott has been instrumental in delivering some of the most interesting and complex projects globally. His involvement includes iconic ventures such as Marina Bay Sands in Singapore (yes, the one with the boat on top!), the Jurong Island LNG facility, the towering International Commerce Centre in Hong Kong, and noteworthy U.S. projects like the Museum for the National Medal of Honor in Texas, the New Paediatric Campus in Texas, and the Children’s Hospital of Richmond in Virginia.

Scott’s extensive experience, international perspective, and dedication to operational excellence make him an invaluable asset to Reds Global as we continue to expand and innovate. We are excited to embark on this new chapter with him at the helm of operations.
