Aside from the selection of champions Graeme Rummans, Warren Ayres and Evan Gulbis, there was one certainty in compiling this list of the best 50 players in Victorian Premier Cricket this century.
For all the fine cricketers chosen, some had to be overlooked.
Sixty does not go into 50. Some were squeezed out.
But here goes, 50 great players from a great competition – named, but not ranked in any particular order.
At least until the Best XI.
