Old Friday Drive podcasts at joy.org.au/fridaydrive David and Sue have been described by some, including themselves, as sounding like an old married couple. There are a number of problems with this, not the least of which is the image of consummating their relationship that springs to mind (ewww ... go on, try to stop it now!).

The format of their show is lighthearted, whimsical, and pretty much all-over-the-place. To be quite clear, opinions expressed are our own and usually inconsistent, and not necessarily endorsed by JOY 94.9. If you're looking for well thought out, clearly articulated positions, drawing conclusions that help you, please look elsewhere on the informative and diverse JOY 94.9 program grid. David and Sue have, and need, a support team. This has changed over the years, and currently is Geoffrey, Alex and Peter during the show and Margaret doing the podcasts. The PODCAST can be found at https://joy.org.au/davidandsue/ and via apps and other social media. All roads lead to JOY 94.9 at the Pride Centre at 79-81 Fitzroy St, St Kilda VIC 3182. On the downside it's peak-hour on Friday afternoon, so transiting those roads, trains, trams and buses might not be quick, might be full, and will from time-to-time be cancelled. So allow a bit of time, turn up the volume and listen to David and Sue on your trip and we'll see you soon!

A Joyful moment!!

I have been so fortunate to be involved in community radio station JOY 94.9.

I do two programs - Friday Night Live with David & Sue on JOY 94.9 & Sunday Arts Magazine - Joy94.9

The Friday show, which I co-host with Sue Wilkinson for the past 15 years…2 hours of requests each week.

Sue had the night off last night, so I was doing the show by myself…I have had a cold all week, not a bad one, but I just can’t shake it & been a bit down.

So here I go, from 6-8pm, live to air, with people from all over Australia & the world, mostly regulars, requesting track from this weeks theme - colour.

I opening the show by telling the listeners I’m doing the show by myself & giving them the theme…the listeners are like family, so I thought I would say I had a cold…

…well the screen lite up, SMS’s & emails flooded in with request & thanking me for being on air a little unwell…what also happened ( like having a friend or family on the other end) were all the get wells & “ try honey, just honey” or “ginger” or a “toddy”…the lists went on & on…it was so lovely, a true community spirit!

I found in my pantry- a jar of Kangaroo Island honey!!! The listens have saved me!!! Thank You!!!…life is good!!!👍✌️🤘🕺😘🤓🙏🙏 JOY 94.9
