It's the final stretch of fundraising for Cinema Viscera's Australian Cultural Fund BOOST campaign for RELEASE - where Creative Australia has already doubled the $5k they've raised. Amazing. Can you help them over the line with the final $4,450?

Donate here - a bit over two weeks to go:
https://artists.australianculturalfund.org.au/s/project/a2EMn00000Fk9sTMAR/release-short-film-proof-of-concept

Here's what they shared about the look and feel for the film they're wanting to make: RELEASE. It's going to be gorgeous, but of course, they want to not only pay their cast and crew, they also need funds to some equipment hire, post production and film festival entry fees. At Cherry Hands Media, we're proud to support Perri & Paul as they pull this project together. Thanks also to The Backlot Studios for their support and all those who've donated so far.

"In our forthcoming short film, RELEASE, the use of light will be vital, in focusing on, and drawing attention to, small but telling details… then, in the absence of light, crafting a growing darkness to create the feeling of increasing danger. The idea of shifting shadows is something we are keen to explore using shadow to create a sense of transformation, dread, and menace. And we’ll be playing with the frustrating intangibility of memory, caught in brief and, sometimes, hard-to-make-out images that slowly come together, as the story progresses, to build to a clearer picture.

If you would like to help us to realise the vision we have for our new short film RELEASE, here’s the link to our ACF Campaign:

What a great night we all had, celebrating Cinema Viscera's 16th birthday! And launch of the campaign for their new short film RELEASE.

They've already reached 40% of their overall target of $10k - and they only need to raise another $865 over the next 35 days to receive the full $5,000 BOOST, as part of the Australian Cultural Fund / Creative Australia program.

Do you have a few spare dollars to help them over the line?

Great to see Pez and Paul featured in this Filmink article. Their birthday celebration event takes place tonight at The Backlot Studios (DM us asap if you're keen to come along) - it's free, but there's a catch - can you donate the price of a drink or five to their fundraising campaign? They're part of the BOOST program to make an ambitious short called RELEASE, as a proof of concept for a feature - thanks to the Australian Cultural Fund and Creative Australia so if you can donate $100, they'll get $200. Such a great initiative. OK. Now to make a 2009 music playlist for tonight's festivities. Did we mention there'll be cupcakes?
