This year I have been putting a spotlight on the Australian Motor Heritage Foundation and I've interviewed the directors and volunteers who work tirelessly to collate and manage the historical documents, audio and video that is held by the Foundation. This interview is with an icon of Australian journalism - Peter Robinson. Peter was a founder of the Foundation and an early Director, however is now acting as an Ambassador for the organisation as well as working through the John Mellor Collection. In this interview Peter talks about his very long career, the Foundation and the Mellor Collection.

I went out to the Sydney Motorsport Park for Day One of the HSRCA Summer Festival and in between watching the races, catching up with friends and checking out some of the amazing racing machines, I recorded five interviews with competitors. This is another in my series about the Australian Motor Heritage Foundation. This one is with Phil Whitton who works on the motorcycle collections. My interviews have typically spoken about the Australian connection to cars, race drivers and manufacturers, however Australia has a rich history with two wheelers including many world champions over the decades. I talk with Phil about his early motoring life, his racing and the motorcycle collections of books, magazines and video.
