Brooke thought she understood what students needed after cancer. Then future colleague and friend, Caroline, walked into her classroom as a Back on Track Foundation advocate, and everything changed.

She watched one self-conscious boy transform over a year, heard him tell his parents he felt like "one of the smart kids," and realised she'd been witnessing something extraordinary. Today, Brooke is the advocate in someone else's classroom.
