So grateful and humbled to be invited back to work with Prospero Arts and the entire creative team, cast and musicians, along with the crew from QPAC, to put together another of these shows in such a short and constrained schedule. It is testament to everyone's professionalism, focus and dedication to achieving this goal, which in itself is truly inspiring. This has really been a great week!

Well, that's a wrap for The Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols 2023!

What a blast! There are absolutely so many highlights this year, that all start literally months ago with a meeting in the little red company's office. Congratulations to the whole team, especially Naomi Price, who dream big, and deliver such a spectacular and exciting event that inspires and entertains. These are such special people that go beyond what is easy, to do what is best. I feel gratious and lucky to be part of this passionate team, and to also call all of them such great and valued friends.

To all of the cast, musicians, dancers, stage management, crews and volunteers: Thank you for such a great time, and for being nothing less than professional. Everyone's absolutle proffesional approach and contribution was so paramount to such a smooth running event.

You can check out the full show this Saturday on Channel 9 at 7pm. There are so many amazing highlights and performances, but honestly - the most amazing Santa entrance I think I have ever witnessed is not to be missed. It will be re-broadcast on Christmas Day nationally, and a special Auslan-interpreted edition will be available on demand online through 9-now.

A personal thanks to Norwest Productions and Luke Symons who provided such a great crew throughout the week. As always, such a professional and meticulous approach makes shows of this magnitude so easy.

This is such a magnificent collaboration by Queensland Symphony Orchestra and William Barton, launching the initiative Warma Piipa.

I have worked with both William and QSO on various recording collaborations and productions for a very long time (I reckon it has to be about 25 years!) and it was lovely to get asked to assemble, edit and mix the music track that was recorded as part of this ceremony on Kalkatungu Country near Mount Isa. The particular excerpt presented as underscore throughout the launch video has such spirit, honesty and connection that embodies and inspires our true path and the intertwined trajectories of all of our journeys.

What an amazing couple of weeks, working in shed L at Northshore, watching the hard work of creatives, cast and crew turn a bare shed into a fantastic venue for Brisfest's Salamander. Directed by Maxine Doyle and featuring the Australasian Dance Collective and Composer, Sound Designer and Performer, Rachael Dease in an immersive world, contemplating a climate impacted future.

The fantastic lighting design to create the illusion is by Ben Hughes
Special thanks to Maxine Doyle and Rach Dease for giving me the freedom and scope to help execute their design and concepts in the space, and be part of this journey.

It was a great few days spent down at Bleach* Festival sound designing and working with the most fantastic musician friends, presenting a diverse and engaging programme of amazing performances in the regional Botanic Gardens. Extra thanks to Luke Symons for taking the reins on Saturday evening.

Just up the road from Cunnamulla, we returned to Charleville for a swinging Big Base Dance Party at The WWII Secret Base with CW Stoneking, The Pacfic Belles and Everybody Now dancing the night away.

2nd Stop for Qld Music Trails, and first time visit to Cunnamulla for the Outback River Lights festival. Lovely to work with Emma Donnovan again, and her great band The Putbacks, with Alice Skye and her band, and about a gazillion Gallahs and Correllas as part of the Light It Up evening

First stop for QMF Music Trails 2023, Oasis Aftenoon next to the Balonne River in St George. Such an idyllic beautiful grassy amphitheater with same great acts to kick off a couple of weeks out west.
