Have you ever had something you really wanted to do but terrified to do it?
Lyla has been asking us on and off for months now to get her ears pierced but every time we came close to getting them done she couldn’t go ahead with it.
The fear of the unknown stopped her in her tracks and she would change her mind and push it aside.
But the question would pop back up again and again. “Mummy, Daddy can I get my ears pierced?”
Finally after convincing Phill that she was now old enough and brave enough to get her ears pierced, it was happening!
Lyla got to the shop and was absolutely terrified! I actually thought she was going to pull out last minute! But she sat in the chair, held my hands and within minutes they were done!
Now she can’t wipe the smile off her face and is so proud of herself. She is also super excited to show everyone at school on Monday!
The moral of the story is, sometimes it takes time to work up your courage to go ahead with something that is unknown. However, if it is something that you really, truly want to do you will find a way to make it happen!
Just take a deep breath, hold tight and take the leap 💖
