Coolum High School students are making serious national noise, with their band TwoSeventy named among the finalists in triple j’s 2026 Unearthed High competition.

Year 12 students Gage Doyle and Vann Little are part of the five-piece Sunshine Coast hardcore band, whose track "S.C.B.D" is putting the Coast’s heavy music scene in front of national ears.

Missy Higgins, Pnau, ICEHOUSE and The Temper Trap are heading to Brisbane for Night at the Parkland.

The open-air concert series returns to Roma Street Parkland Amphitheatre in September, with nine shows across three weekends as part of Brisbane Festival.

Also on the bill: Aloe Blacc, Human Nature, Katie Noonan, The Cruel Sea with Magic Dirt, and more.

Sunshine Coast Music Awards finalist Che Burns plays at Peregian Beach Hotel tomorrow night for a free show.

Che has been building serious local momentum, with his song "Devil Like You" named as a finalist in the Song of the Year category.

Sunny Side Up is back for round 2 on the Sunshine Coast! ☀️

Pendulum, What So Not and Hot Dub Time Machine will lead a three-stage lineup when the Sunny Side Up Events festival returns to Aussie World on September 5.

Anna Lunoe, Habstrakt, Latifa Tee, RAW ORDIO, Yussi and more are also on the bill, with the second edition shaping up to be a big one for EDM fans on the Coast.

Presale opens May 26 at 5pm, with general sale from May 27 at 5pm.

The Living End will launch their 2026 regional tour on the Sunshine Coast, with the Australian rock trio set to play Venue 114 in Bokarina on July 31.

The show adds another major name to the Coast’s live music calendar, as venues including Blackflag Brewing continue to pick up more of the region’s touring traffic.
