We just announced this special two day Teen Songwriting Workshop with award winning local Singer-Songwriter Alys Ffion at The Nook in Cooroy on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 December at it's already 50% sold out! At Peace Run Records & Agency we are passionate about mentoring the next generation of creators and connecting them to artists and musicians that are authentic and we are big fans of Alys! So if you have a teen that's been playing guitar in their bedroom or looking to do something fun and meet new like minded friends that are interested in songwriting, send them along to this wonderful 2 day workshop!

Details:
What: Teen Songwriting Workshop with Alys Ffion
Where: The Nook, Cooroy (above the laundromat on Diamond st)
When: Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 December 10am - 3pm both days.
Bring: Water bottle, snacks for lunch, acoustic instrument and writing pencils and paper.
How much: $200 for the two days.

Day 2 at Mountaingrass was great fun! Ryland Moranz ran a Clawhammer banjo workshop followed by a few songs in the Courthouse theatre before a Main stage set at 2.40pm where things heated up a little which required a wardrobe change! One more set for Moranz & Fremlin on Sunday 8pm before they head home. We'll be posting any merch orders on Monday if you are keen to get a shirt, vinyl or tour poster! DM us for details

We made it to Mountaingrass! The last stop on the Moranz & Fremlin Australian tour. Thanks so much to everyone who has come to a show this past 4 weeks. What a brilliant run for our first Bluegrass concert tour! You have two more chances to catch Ryland Moranz and Dan Fremlin before they head back to Canada if you are around Bright, Victoria. This Saturday at 2:40pm at the Bright Community Centre and Sunday at the same venue at 8pm.

We've had such a fun month on the road with these two and Dan's family; his wife Joelene and kids Gigi, Yukon, Gibson and Hoss. Dear Island Vibe community,
Yesterday we announced a change of venue for our Music and Arts Camp Out taking place from Friday 21 November to Sunday 23 November. Sadly, the Big 4 Campground at Noosa Northshore did not have the capacity to host our event on their current Permit which was brought to our attention at a meeting on site with Noosa Council recently. We had paid a deposit to the campground in good faith that they were able to host our camp out at the venue and now are unable to host it near the beach and have lost this non refundable deposit.

Left with 2 choices of cancelling the event or finding a new venue we were able to relocate our camp out to Hangar O Campground in Gunalda, which is a 160 acre campground 20 minutes north of Gympie. The line up and curation remains the same, sadly the venue was forced to change. The loss of the deposit to our previous venue means that we have opened up another 100 camping tickets which will take our capacity to 550.

Island Vibe is of course looking for another home near the beach for future events however in these current times finding beachside venues that are keen on hosting community live music events are getting harder to find. We had followed all rules and capacity regulations and are disappointed that this venue change had to happen. It will be a beautiful weekend at what is one of the best award winning campgrounds in our region, we hope to see you there! 🙏🏽 https://www.hangaro.com.au/

Have you discovered the little bar in Brisbane called, Can You Keep A Secret ? We love this little venue and are so grateful they hosted our Moranz & Fremlin concert with Those Folk supporting last week! It's a really quaint little venue and we highly recommend getting to a gig there if you haven't already. It's so important to keep supporting these little venues that make up the cultural fabric and keep our live music scene alive. Happy Birthday shout out to Emily Jane who runs this gem of a venue as well as Mirrorball Ministries in West End, an exciting new venue that we cannot wait to check out!
