This is part of a very old Javanese song, one my mother taught me, and one I sing to my children at bedtime...

'Ojo turu sore kaki' literally translates to "Don't sleep in the late afternoon, dear one".

Bit this old Javanese song isn’t really about sleep. It’s a reminder to stay awake during life’s in-between moments, when the veil is thin and unseen blessings are quietly passing by. Twilight is a sacred threshold, and if we drift into unconsciousness, we may miss the gifts meant for us. ✨️

Sung with a slight variation at the end, as my voice can't go as low as the traditional version 🙏😊
