1. Grade Breakdown: colour space transform to bring the log footage into Rec.709, exposure adjustments, saturation and contrast, hue adjustment to make pinks consistent, qualifier to improve skin tones, film look with halation, glow and 16mm film grain for nostalgic summer vacation vibes.
2. Pool VFX: in After Effects the logo of the resort was masked out and removed, then replaced with another section of pool and blended. The Betty’s logo brought in, made white, changed blending mode and tracked into the pool and added a displacement map to have it rippled by the water. Finally the diver was roto’d out.
3. Asset Library: as a component of this shoot was delivering graded clips for cross-platform application, all shots were composed to look good on both horizontal and vertical aspect ratios.
