Hows your floor looking?

Originally coated in an old waterbased over 10 years ago this floor had started to take on an opaque/milky look from all the U.V exposure from the big nice windows!

Isnt it surprising just how nice it looks with a fresh coat of Intergrain Australia matte waterbased polyurethane!

Not many floors can't be sanded!

I got a phone call for this floor and the customer was worried the floor couldn't be sanded. After they did their best pulling up their was still masonite tacks and staples stuck in the black japan. This floor had it all! After a few hours of punching and a lot of sanding. We coated it with Intergrain Australia enviropro matte waterbased polyurethane and doesnt it look great!

Do your floors look like this!? Or not quite as bad and would just like to update them?

Check out this solvent based coating to waterbased coating transformation! Wow

I got a call from a homeowner who wanted the floors and bench updated in the house before they moved in. They'd pulled up all the old carpet up in some rooms and wanted the existing room that had been sanded and coated before redone in a nice modern waterbased satin coating! Doesn't it completely change the whole house and make it look fresher!

Wow this floor had never been sanded and coated before but after a sand and coat would you believe some of these boards are over 100 years old!

After pulling up the old lino we punched all the nails and removed any old staples and tacks. To start the sanding process we cross cut the floor at 45 degrees because after all those years there had been a bit of movement in the boards and then it was pretty straight forward graining the boards outs. It was coated with Intergrain Australia enviropro matte water based polyurethane and doesn't it really bring a nice modern look to this old queenslander.

This week is a different one I got to go up to Maleny and give this old church a much needed resand. Going for something a little different the owner wanted a nice gloss solvent based polyurethane and doesn't it bring out the nice rich colours in the crows ash timber! No worries — with a bit of kerosene, some cross-cutting, and 24-grit, the Hummel made light work of it! Ready to move in on!

Check out this floor the owners of this home wanted the floors in their granny flat looking fresh. So I resanded and coated with a waterbased matte polyurethane and doesn't it look fresh and flat. Perfect to live on as the matte finish wont reflect the dirt and hair like a gloss.

Check out this weeks old school solvent based polyurethane gloss 👌!

Laid and uncoated this timber had developed bows and still had a few band marks!
Uncoated so the process was straight forward I cross cut it slowling to remove all bows and marks and then business as usual sanding with the grain. I coated this one with solvent based sealer and two coats of solvent based gloss and isn't it shiny and flat?

Don’t they look great with a solvent-based gloss polyurethane finish on top?
