Wow check out how these floors came up! I was sanding the main floor of a house when the customer asked me do you think these floors can be sanded? Of course they can! And didn't they come up fresh and nice! Check out the marble I found in it too! After a good sand and fill I coated these floors with Intergrain enviropro waterbased matte polyurethane.

Get your decks ready before christmas!

This week I got a call from a customer who brought a new house and wanted me to do the decks on this one too! After years of neglect these decks were peeling, faded and stained worried the stains might show through we decided to coat this one with intergrain ultradeck merbau. The darker tint in it helps cover up the stains and gives the deck an overall uniform appearance.

Time to update your timber floors before Christmas?

This week I got to do the second part of this house! This was the kitchen, dining and bedroom.

Originally coated in an old waterbased over 10 years ago these floors had started to take on an opaque/milky look from all sunlight exposure from the big nice windows. Check out the stains around the kitchen I managed to sand out too! Coated with Intergrain Australia
Matte waterbased polyurethane! Doesnt it look great!

Hows your floor looking?

Not many floors can't be sanded!

I got a phone call for this floor and the customer was worried the floor couldn't be sanded. After they did their best pulling up their was still masonite tacks and staples stuck in the black japan. This floor had it all! After a few hours of punching and a lot of sanding. We coated it with Intergrain Australia enviropro matte waterbased polyurethane and doesnt it look great!

Do your floors look like this!? Or not quite as bad and would just like to update them?

Check out this solvent based coating to waterbased coating transformation! Wow

I got a call from a homeowner who wanted the floors and bench updated in the house before they moved in. They'd pulled up all the old carpet up in some rooms and wanted the existing room that had been sanded and coated before redone in a nice modern waterbased satin coating! Doesn't it completely change the whole house and make it look fresher!

Wow this floor had never been sanded and coated before but after a sand and coat would you believe some of these boards are over 100 years old!

After pulling up the old lino we punched all the nails and removed any old staples and tacks. To start the sanding process we cross cut the floor at 45 degrees because after all those years there had been a bit of movement in the boards and then it was pretty straight forward graining the boards outs. It was coated with Intergrain Australia enviropro matte water based polyurethane and doesn't it really bring a nice modern look to this old queenslander.

This week is a different one I got to go up to Maleny and give this old church a much needed resand. Going for something a little different the owner wanted a nice gloss solvent based polyurethane and doesn't it bring out the nice rich colours in the crows ash timber! After tearing up years of vinyl and carpet, this old timber floor still had rubber underlay glued down. No worries — with a bit of kerosene, some cross-cutting, and 24-grit, the Hummel made light work of it! Once the surface was clean and flat, we finished it off with a stunning solvent-based gloss coat — and just like that, the floor was completely transformed.
