GFM Animation GFM Animation develops, produces, finances & sells independent theatrical animated features & series.

Founded in March 2011 by former Handmade Films principals Guy Collins, Fred Hedman and Michael Ryan, the company takes film & television projects from development through to completion and delivery to distributors. The 3 partners broadly divide their activities as follows: Fred Hedman – distribution sales & licensing; Michael Ryan – new project development & creative control; and Guy Collins – fin

They are supported by a close group of consultants who have previously worked extensively with the team. Collins and Ryan have between them financed, sold and produced over 200 films, including ‘The English Patient’, ‘The General’, ‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape’, ‘The Osterman Weekend’, the ‘Highlander’ series and more recently, with Hedman, ‘Fifty Dead Men Walking’ and ‘Planet 51′.

Congratulations to Gr**go Films, director Steve Hudson and the whole Stitch Head team! This animated comedy adventure for monsters young & old will celebrate its world premiere at ! A monstrously huge achievement!

Featuring the voices of Asa Butterfield, Joel Fry, Tia Bannon, Rob Brydon, Alison Steadman, and comedians Fern Brady & Jamali Maddix. Adapted from the children's book by Guy Bass.

We look forward to screening the film to distributors at Cannes next month.

Our Story

GFM Films is a London-based film company. Our principal aim is to develop, produce, finance and sell independent movies and television films & series. Alongside the parent company we also have GFM Animation and GFM Evolution.

Founded in March 2011 by Guy Collins, Fred Hedman and Michael Ryan, the company takes film & television projects from development through to completion and delivery to distributors.

Collins and Ryan have between them financed, sold and produced over 250 films, including ‘The Wild Geese’, ‘The English Patient’, ‘The General’, ‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape’, ‘The Osterman Weekend’, the ‘Highlander’ series, ‘Planet 51’ and with Hedman, Toei Animation’s ‘Harlock: Space Pirate’, ‘Absolutely Anything’ (starring Simon Pegg), high octane action thrillers ‘Stratton’ (starring Dominic Cooper) and ‘All The Devil’s Men’ (starring Milo Gibson, Sylvia Hoeks & William Fichtner) and animated titles ‘Duck Duck Goose’ (featuring the voices of Zendaya, Jim Gaffigan & Stephen Fry) and ‘Here Comes The Grump’ (featuring the voices of Lily Collins, Toby Kebbell and Ian McShane).

We continue to expand our slate across the three companies, covering both animated and live action feature films.
